The chapel service with cremation is published at £3,995. You can hold a family-led service or include a minister, priest or celebrant.

Tea and coffee are provided before and after the service. A wake may be arranged at an additional cost; speak to us about what would suit your gathering.

We’ll discuss the time you need and available weekday appointments. Cremation takes place on a later day, usually the next available day, rather than during the chapel service.

Access to the chapel

Sunset Chapel is upstairs and is reached by stairs. If you or anyone attending has mobility or access requirements, please contact us before arranging a visit or service so we can discuss suitable options.

Please also ask about the size of your gathering, arrival arrangements, toilets and any equipment or support your guests may need.

Before guests make plans

  • Tell us about anyone who cannot manage stairs or needs assistance; discuss a suitable setting before committing to the chapel.
  • Confirm the number of guests, service time and length, and any wake or refreshment arrangements and costs.
  • Ask about arrival, drop-off or parking, toilets and any other facilities your guests need.
  • Discuss music, readings or media you would like to use, and confirm what can be provided for your service.

A few things you may want to know

When can a chapel service take place?

The published chapel offer describes weekday services between 9am and 5pm. Agree the date, start time and service length with the team before making arrangements with guests.

Does the cremation happen in the chapel?

No. The farewell takes place in Sunset Chapel, with cremation arranged separately on a later day. The team can explain the timings and arrangements for ashes.
